Dear Academy family,
We’re extremely excited to announce the opening of our new location at 9220 Lakewood Blvd in Downey. We couldn’t have done it without your support!
Our new location is at The Marketplace at Gallatin Road and it offers many local amenities. We’re very happy to have such awesome neighbors. That being said, we all need to follow a few guidelines in order to have a good relationship with them.
Parking:
While there are a lot of parking spaces, it may be a bit difficult to find a spot during busy hours. Below you’ll find a map of the marketplace where parking is easiest to find.
Walkway and common areas:
We have been asked to make sure our guests do not block the walkway in front of Academy. There are a few tables and benches near Movita and Yoli’s should you want to enjoy something delicious and relax outdoors.
Academy Indoor Seating:
We will have very limited indoor seating next to the mat and at the kids’ academic zone. We highly encourage you to visit other stores within the marketplace, go grocery shopping, or enjoy some music/podcasts in your car while your child is in class.
Parents and spectators are guests at Academy and should be respectful at all times. Parents are welcome to watch their children train but to do so quietly, without talking loudly or causing any disruption to the class. Designated sitting areas are available for parents and spectators to observe but at no time should parents attempt to give instruction to their children or go onto the mat during training. In order to maintain the best learning environment for our students we will strictly enforce our No Sideline Coaching Policy. Anyone sideline coaching may be asked to step out until the end of class.
Schedule:All classes will remain at their previously scheduled start times for the moment. Should there be any changes, we will inform you via ClassDojo or Remind.
