I began my Martial Arts journey 5 years ago in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu while looking for something to push my mental and physical limits. I loved every moment on the mat and it was the perfect challenge for me at the time. However, one day, I had an unfortunate accident playing basketball and had a devastating ankle injury that took me off the mat for some time. After going through physical therapy, I pushed myself to get back out there and find a new way to challenge myself. That’s when I found Muay Thai. I discovered my passion for teaching others while drilling and doing pad work. Having grown up in Downey, it has been extremely fulfilling to be able to give back to my community and build a new generation of kids.
I’ll leave you with a quote by the great Seneca; “We treat the body rigorously so it will not be disobedient to the mind”.
